The things we are learning in school are sometimes difficult and sometimes easy. In social studies we are learning about HDI which stands for Human Development Index. We have to take many notes and do worksheets. The first project we did was about communities. We were in groups and had to make a poster about communities and what communities are. The second project we did was about our partner’s culture. All the presentations were interesting. I had fun doing all the projects. The topic we are recently learning about is a good quality of life. On our own, we pick a quote that symbolizes a good quality of life. So far that is what we are learning about in Social Studies.

Competitive Girls Volleyball Game on 16/10/13

The competitive girls had a volleyball game on 16/10/13 and we lost. We played against Immaculate Heart of Mary. In the first set we lost 16 to 25 and in the second set we lost 19 to 25. We played a third set for fun and we also lost that set. We had lots of fun and we really improved from the last game. We have another game on 23/10/13 against Christ the King. We played IHMS at our home gym. We had good sets and good serving.

The Best Author in the WORLD

I don’t know about you… But I am in love with Stephen King Novels. ‘It’, ‘Doctor Sleeps’, ‘The Shining’ and ‘Carrie’ of course! (If you don’t know these books they’ve been out in movie so just search it up in YouTube.) I’ve always wanted to be a writer. That why I started to look up to him. His passion for writing novels and describing the story in every spec of detail. The tension he builds up just by just introducing the conflict. It AMAZING!

Stephen King writes about horror, thrillers, sci-fi, and fantasy. His books has been featured in many movies, T.V shows and comic books too. I could go on but this is going get boring… so let’s just cut to. Stephen King Is A GOD! Btw, I don’t recommend the books that are listed up there to anyone that’s not a fan of surgeon.

Blog Post
By: Georgette

For today’s blog post I will be talking about what we’ve been currently learning in school, meaning what we’ve been learning in math, social studies,ICT, science, ELA/ religion, health, french, and art.

In math we’ve been learning about how to divide or multiply decimals. In social studies we’ve been lately focusing on what we need in order to have a good life.  In ICT we’ve been learning on   how to type and how to post a blog on blogger. In science we’ve been learning about temperature( specific heat and etc.), but we are now currently learning more about graphing. In ELA we’ve been learning about characteristics of a character, how to find a characters personality, and conflicts of a story. In religion we’ve just been learning about the life and sayings of Jesus. In health we’ve been learning about how people are unique and what kind of learners are they. In french we’ve been learning about nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and verbs,
and in art we’ve just basically been learning on how to draw cartoons.
So this is a short blog, but i just wanted to make this simple and short. This is basically been learning about in all subjects. Thank you for listening!

My life at St. Maurice School
I’ve made many friends at this school. In kindergarten when I came here I didn’t know anyone except for a family friend who forgot who I was, his name is Dylan Ilarde and is in the other class, 7A. I finally managed to become friends with my classmates and I had fun for the rest of the year. In grade 1 I was sad to have been separated from my friends and forced to make new ones. In the middle of the year, my friend, Christian, had to leave the school because his dad had to move for work. I made a good friend that year, Eric, but in grade 5, he moved out into the country and I haven’t seen him except for a brief visit from him the next year. After that I became pretty close with Don and he joined Air Cadets with me, so even if he moves schools, we’ll still be in touch.

Blog Post: Favourite Subject

My favourite subject is Social Studies. The reason I like Social Studies is that I like to learn about the world, geography, and World History. Social Studies are interesting to me because I get to learn different things about different people. Like, lately we just did our Cultural Projects. I did it on China; I got to learn that Chinese people used to keep long hair. One more thing I learnt was that the Chinese people has a five-tone music scale rather than an eight-tone music scale.

Another Favourite subject of mine is Math. I like math because it is fun, and I like to do it math. The reasons I like to learn math is because I like to learn about numbers. The topics that I find interesting in math is Order of Operation, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, and more. I like math because is fun for me, and it’s good skill to have In conclusion I like math, and social studies, because they are both fun, and I like to do them. They are my two favourite subjects.

My favourite subjects in school would be ELA and math.  These are my favourite subjects because I understand them and I enjoy them.  I like ELA because we read lots and I have read some really good books so far.  I have read the books Ashes, Ashes and the book Starcrossed.  I like math because I really understand what we are doing.  I like all subjects but these are the ones I enjoy the most.
School is going really good so far, I am staying organized and getting my work done.  My friends and I have been to Starbucks once and it was amazing.  We are planning on going on Wednesday too.  We have had quite a few tests so far and I have been getting good grades.  I am really enjoying grade 7.
